The Teenagers are a French synthpop band formed in late 2005, originally as a joke.[3] They achieved some degree of notoriety with the song "Homecoming" for its explicit language and arguably misogynistic content.[4][5] Their debut album Reality Check was released in the UK on 17 March 2008[6] and 18 March 2008 in the rest of Europe and the United States.

[edit] Critical reception

The Teenagers have somewhat divided opinion, with some critics regarding their music as vapid and a triumph of style over substance.[7][3] Others however have noted their self-aware and intelligent lyrics and praised their lush, danceable pop music.[8]
