The Tall Man (TV series)

Disambiguation: For the Phantasm villain, see Tall Man.
The Tall Man was a western television series that ran from 1960 to 1962 starring Barry Sullivan as Pat Garrett and newcomer Clu Gulager as Billy the Kid in 75 fictionalized half-hour episodes about the relationship between the famous outlaw and the frontier sheriff who eventually killed him. Unfortunately, no final episode depicting the grim conclusion was filmed. Memorably, the series opened each week with a shot of extremely a long shadow cast by Sullivan on a western street (the "tall man"). The series was produced by Revue Productions.

Actors appearing on the show in individual episodes include Edgar Buchanan, Jim Davis, Slim Pickens, James Coburn, Martin Landau, Robert Lansing, Vic Morrow, Raymond Hatton, Mona Freeman, Richard Jaeckel, Denver Pyle, George Kennedy, R.G. Armstrong, Julie Sommars, Adele Mara, Regis Toomey, Leonard Nimoy, Fuzzy Knight, Iron Eyes Cody, Faith Domergue, Jocelyn Brando, Nancy Davis, and Ellen Corby.
