"The Story in Your Eyes" is a 1971 hit single by the English rock band The Moody Blues. Written by the band's guitarist Justin Hayward, it was first released on the 1971 album Every Good Boy Deserves Favour, and then released as a single shortly after, with "My Song" on the B-side. "The Story in Your Eyes" was also the final single to make use of the mellotron. It would be replaced with a similar instrument, an electro-mechanical keyboard instrument known as the Chamberlin, which produced a similar sound to the mellotron.
