The Stereo
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Stereo was a pop-rock/Rock and Roll music band formed in early 1999 by former ska/punk band frontmen Jamie Woolford (of Animal Chin) and Rory Phillips (of The Impossibles). The pair, each of whom was working on a respective solo album at the time, was brought together by the recommendation of their then record label Fueled by Ramen. Over their recording and touring history, the band endured a number of member changes that focused on approximately two fundamental band incarnations (1999-2001 and 2001-2004 member line-ups); however, Woolford was always affiliated with the group and composed all selections by The Stereo following Phillips' departure.
The group disbanded in March of 2004. Woolford and late The Stereo bassist Chris Serafini went on to form Let Go.
