The Spiral Staircase is a 2000 television film remake of the 1946 film of the same title starring Nicollette Sheridan, Judd Nelson, Alex McArthur, Debbe Dunning and Holland Taylor. It was directed by James Head and written by Ethel Lina White, Mel Dinelli and Matt Dorff.

The SPIRAL STAIRCASE is a made for TV film starring Judd Nelson, Nicollette Sheridan, Alex McArthur, Debbe Dunning, Holland Taylor, Christina Jastrzembska, Dolores Drake, David Storch and William McDonald. It was made for The Fox Family network, which is now ABC FAMILY.
PLOT This is a remake of two previous films under the same title. Both center around A mute woman who is being stalked by a vicious killer. (Previous films: THE SPIRAL STAIRCASE (1945) and THE SPIRAL STAIRCASE (1975) This remake centers around Helen (Nicolette Sheridan) mute since the death of her parents, accepts a nursing position from a wealthy matriarch of a household in an old mansion on a secluded mansion. But a killer is picking of young girls around town, and Helen fears she is next. And soon, a terrible storm hits the island one night and the family and Helen are trapped inside...and there not alone, the killer is with them in the shadows...will Helen survive and find her voice again?
