The Spikes are a rock band formed in 2005. The group was originally founded in New Zealand by its members, who are Irish. Their debut album, entitled Madness, was praised by The Irish Times for being "an energetic and stylish album."[citation needed] The group has been praised for its energetic live shows.[1] The first single off the album, "Monster", charted on the Irish Singles Chart.[2]
