The Spell Sword

The Spell Sword is a fantasy - science fiction novel by Marion Zimmer Bradley in the Darkover series. It concerns the earthman Andrew Carr and his psychic contact with a beautiful sensitive native of Darkover, Callista, who is being held captive by a non-human race of Darkover, the cat-people.

The Spell Sword was first published in paperback by DAW in 1974, ISBN 0-87997-891-0. It was reissued by DAW in paperback in December, 1987, ISBN 0-88677-237-0. A hardcover edition was issued by Gregg Press in February, 1979, ISBN 0-8398-2503-X. A Large print hardcover was issued by G K Hall & Co in June, 2000, ISBN 0-7838-9066-4. There is also a hardcover edition by Severn House issued in 1990, ISBN 0-7278-4046-0. The first edition, the paperback issued in 1974 is available for 2 or 3 dollars on ABE.
