The Sound of White is the debut album by Australian female artist Missy Higgins, released by Eleven in September 2004 (see 2004 in music). Critics heralded the album as a superb debut and it achieved massive commercial success, reaching number one on the Australian album chart and selling over 560,000 copies being accredited platinum nine times. Its success was so great that it remained in the top 100 for over 2 years, reaching the top 20 again in the first week of 2007.
[edit] Track listing
The album was slightly varied for its international release, removing the song "Casualty" for the song "Unbroken," which, due to not being on any other Australian release, was subsequently released as a digital download in Australia on the iTunes music store. The international version also included the song "They Weren't There" as a secret track and the remixed version of "Scar", otherwise known as the Jay Newland Mix.
