The Sound Of Girls Aloud: The Greatest Hits Tour began in May 2007 as Girls Aloud's second arena-based concert tour and their third tour overall.
The tour celebrates the groups five years at the top and sees them showcase their string of hits featured on the The Sound of Girls Aloud compilation album, a #1 double platinum selling success. Almost all of the singles were performed, only See the Day was excluded.

[edit] History
Dates for the tour went on sale in November 2006. It was longer than their previous tour, making it their biggest tour yet. They also announced that they would be doing a summer tour around the country, playing places like castles and festivals. The tour was sponsored by the shampoo brand Sunsilk.[1]
Support acts were girl groups Australian electro-rock band Rogue Traders[2] and singers Natalia and Misha Williams.
Girls Aloud were planning to perform a Spice Girls medley of songs as part of their show, in a section including covers of songs by various other acts.[3]. The tour program does mention a tribute to girl groups paving the way, but no such medley features in the show.

[edit] Broadcasts and recordings
The Sound of Girls Aloud: The Greatest Hits Tour was not filmed for DVD release as the title would clash with the tour DVD filmed as part of the Chemistry tour (the DVD was called The Greatest Hits Live). However, an audio recording of "Something Kinda Ooooh" from Bournemouth appeared as a b-side to "Sexy! No No No...".
Clips from the tour were broadcasted at the beginning of Passions.
