The Solomon Key is the working title of an unreleased novel currently in progress by Dan Brown, author of several conspiracy novels, most prominently Angels & Demons and The Da Vinci Code. [3] According to current information, The Solomon Key will be the third book involving the fictional Robert Langdon, a Harvard University professor.[citation needed] According to an article in the The Wall Street Journal, the release date for the book has been set by the author and the publisher, but is currently being kept a secret.[4]

In the meantime, David A Shugarts has published "Secrets of the Widow's Son" (in Freemasonry, the Widow's Son is a reference to Hiram Abiff, the chief architect of King Solomon's Temple in Jerusalem, who was killed rather than reveal the secrets of its construction), a history of aspects of Freemasonry in the USA, in preparation for the expected Masonic themes in The Solomon Key.
