The Smokestack Wager

The Smokestack Wager is a Dogme 95 film shot in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, in 2004. Staring a group of unknown actors, including Jonathan Wilson, Melanie Dahling, Matt Donahue, Kate Schellenberg, John Perrin IV and Levon Cheater. The film follows a day in the life of a man named Bob Favor, sent to Canada in search of a young girl who may or may not want to be found. As the film unfolds, the audience witnesses the fragmenting psyche of a man who chose a very bad day to quit smoking. The director, Tony Hinds is quoted as saying that he had his tongue firmly in his cheek when he decided to make his film a Dogme 95 film.
