The Smiley Morning Show is an award-winning radio program on radio station WZPL (99.5 FM - an Entercom Communications station) in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The show is hosted by 2006 and 2007 NUVO magazine "Best Radio Personality"[1] Dave Smiley and is co-hosted by Kari "K.J." Johll. They are regularly joined by senior producer Brian Moore, aka "B-Moore" and producer Chris Van Sickle, aka "Weedman," along with "Traffic Goddess" Mindy Winkler and meteorologist Paul Poteet (from WRTV 6)
The show is a talk/entertainment morning show that includes significant interaction with listeners. Each day, there are usually several guests on the show, including many comedians, celebrities, and local personalities.

- The Host and energy of the show, Smiley combines bumbling and often self-depricating radio antics with his skill as a disc jockey.
- Originally from Pella, Iowa where he started in radio as a teen at Valley High School's KWDM radio station broadcasting to literally dozens of students in the parking lot and student center, Smiley moved to the Indianapolis area in May of 2002 after stints in New York, San Diego, California and Phoenix, Arizona.

- Originally an unintended sidekick, Kari Johll now acts as the show's comedic straight-woman co-host. In addition to her strait-laced bantering, she handles the Hollywood News and "Top Three Things You Need To Know" news segments.
- Also hosts a website and segment entitled "K.J.'s Strays", dedicated to helping stray cats.
- K.J. hails from Wisconsin and is a fan of cheese and the Green Bay Packers.

- Both spend considerable time on-air outside of reporting weather and traffic respectively.
- Paul Poteet serves as a vast resource of musical knowledge and perpetual impressions of well-known DJ, Casey Kasem.
- Mindy Winkler collects a hate list of odd, and at times unbelievable, objects that are making her mad.

- based on NBC's Deal or No Deal (US game show), listeners could win free gas
- Meal or No Meal
- based on NBC's Deal or No Deal, listeners could win free Subway (restaurant) sandwiches
- Battle of the Burbs
- an epic battle pitting Indianapolis suburbs in a test of hometown trivia
- Stop-a-Cop
- listeners have to find a police officer, stop him, and get him on the phone with the station
- Weigh-in-Wednesday
- Smiley and Chris "Weedman" Van Sickle dieted for for a few months by counting calories and/or using diet pills.
- Smiley invented the One Less Diet, a diet in which the person consumes one less drink, one less bite of food, one less slice of pizza - whatever they choose.
- Smiley was forced to walk around a local lake wearing only his boxer shorts and a sandwich board sign while listeners threw tomatoes at him.
- Smiley and Chris "Weedman" Van Sickle dieted for for a few months by counting calories and/or using diet pills.

- Listeners call in and honk their car horn. If Smiley fails to correctly guess the year, make and model of your car, the listener wins $100.
