The Sixth Sense (TV series)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Sixth Sense was a paranormal thriller television series starring Gary Collins and Catherine Ferrar. It ran 25 episodes. After cancellation, it was incorporated into the run of Night Gallery with newly filmed introductions by Rod Serling.
Many of the episodes appeared to be formulaic[citation needed] where a doctor of psychology receives patients who have unusual gifts veiled in hallucinations or sleep disturbances, drawn together by fate.[clarify]
The series was shown on ABC in a Saturday night 10 pm time slot, and was broadcast from January of 1972 through December 1972. Despite its short life span, the quality and subject matter of the scripts attracted some major talent. Actors including William Shatner, Lee Majors, Cloris Leachman, Joan Crawford, Patty Duke, and Jane Wyman guest-starred in individual episodes.
The series has been revived on NBC Universal's horror cable channel Chiller.
