The Silver Dollar Inn & Campground is a hunting and fishing resort and community in Northern Ontario, Canada. It is located 60km North of Ignace on Highway 599, off Highway 17. The resort was established in the 50's, has been owned and operated by Marty and Theresa Brindley since 1999. It was first established as a response to the lodging demand created by the Matawbi mine, increased foresting operations, and other industrial projects in the area during the first half of 20th century.
[edit] Hunting & Fishing
The Silver Dollar area is renowned for many surrounding lakes and rivers that provide an abundance of fish and game. Lakes such as Sturgeon, Lake of Bays, Press, and Pepperbell, are only a few of the popular "hot spots" that outdoors enthusiasts have enjoyed for decades.
