The Shape of Water (La forma dell’acqua) is a 1994 novel by Andrea Camilleri, translated into English in 2002 by Stephen Sartarelli. It is the first novel in the internationally popular Inspector Montalbano series. The episode was almost entirely shot in Sampieri, where is the factory Fornace Penna, so-called "La Mánnara".
