The Serak Series is perhaps the most well known work of Guru Stevan Plinck. As one of the leading current proponents and teachers of the martial art of Pukulan Pentjak Silat Serak, Guru Plinck, with a small cadre of his students began compiling a video library that came to be known as The Serak Series. Based on Guru Plinck's own work and study directly with Paul de Thoaurs, one of the fathers of the martial art of Silat, and on Plinck's lifetime of study, practice, examination teaching, at present only three volumes of The Serak Series this work in progress are completed. The first there volumes of this work in progress have received strong approval from serious Silat players in the United States, Europe, Asia, Indonesia and indeed worldwide.
Among those working on The Serak Series with Guru Plinck are Steven Barnes, a best selling author, human performance expert and screenwriter of the Emmy Award winning teleplay "A Stitch In Time", Guru Narin Latthitiam whose martial arts work appears in the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle" movies, best selling author Steve Perry and other gifted and talented students. The series is produced by Lexington Film, LLC and Horace J. Digby.
Guru Plinck's goal with The Serak Series is to provide a comprehensive guide to the field of Pukulan Pentjak Silat Serak compiled by a practitioner who is in his "Teaching Window", imparting not only technique and form, but understanding and perspective of martial arts in general and Silat in particular, sharing the experience of his life's work.
