[edit] Attraction Summary

The Screen Test Adventure was located in a small building next to Universal's other former attraction Kongfrontation. The building was supposedly a theater called The Paradise Theater. After waiting, guests entered the building. Inside it, they would stand in front of a blue screen with a team member directing them on what to do. The guests could chose to be the star of either Your Day at Universal Studios, an adventure through the park and it's attractions, or The Star Trek Adventure, a sci-fi themed film inspired by the original Star Trek series. After they were finished filming their scenes, the team member would congratulate guests, and show them the final film. The film included the filmed shots of guests digitally inserted with the help of the blue screen. After the experience, guests woould have a choice of buying a copy of them in the finished film.

[edit] History

The attraction opened at the park in 1991, with only Your day at Universal Studios used as a film, while The Star Trek Adventure was added late the same year. The attraction closed completely on November 11, 1996, only a few days after the closure of the parks Ghostbusters Spooktacular attraction. A week befor the closing, a message was placed during the credits of the films used stating GoodBye, Screen Test!. The attraction was replaced by The Islands of Adventure Preview Center in 1997.
