The Roundway

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Roundway is a semi-circular road in Tottenham, England. It forms part of the A1080. It arcs from west, through north to east, ie from Lordship Lane opposite Downhills Park Road to Lordship Lane near its junction with Bruce Grove. It is split in the middle by a one-way system turning onto the A10 Great Cambridge Road which leads north into Edmonton & Enfield and eventually mid-Cambridgeshire. The twin junctions of the Roundway with Lordship Lane mark the eastern and western boundaries of Broadwater Farm on the opposite side of Lordship Lane.

[edit] Eastern half

The eastern half of The Roundway is residential with a newsagents, a Chinese takeaway and a Snack Bar in a small parade at the junction with New Road.

[edit] Western half

The western half of The Roundway is also residential with an off licence and an Indian Takeaway, almost opposite Risley Avenue Junior School. Shortly before its junction with Lordship Lane is All Hallows Road which leads to Tottenham's Parish Church (All Hallows), Bruce Castle Park and Tottenham Cemetery.
