The Romaniacs

The Romaniacs was a Canadian band formed in 1984 and disbanded in 1995. They described their style as "musical ethno-fusion" combining Eastern European, Gypsy Jazz, and pop. They made extensive use of costumes and props, including a large map, during their live shows.
Members of the band included:
- Calvin Cairns (aka myron joseph king romaniac) - violin
- Steve Bengtson (aka Steffy Levine) - mandolin and vocals
- Scott White - bass
- Ron Thompson - guitar
- Richard Baker - guitar
In addition to touring extensively in Canada and USA, the group also toured once in Australia.
They released a total of three albums:
- Ethno-Fusion
- World on Fire
- [unknown title] (Compilation released only in Japan)
