"The Road I'm On" is a single from 3 Doors Down's second album, Away from the Sun, reaching number 8 on the U.S. Mainstream Rock charts and number 24 on the U.S. Modern Rock charts.
The music video shows the band performing on a checker-flag pattern stage at night. NASCAR drivers Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Tony Stewart are shown racing through the streets in custom Chevrolet Suburbans. The two eventually end up on a local short track where a race is underway, with the scorekeeping girl, who the two met earlier, begins to name them on the chart, and the two eventually bust out of the track and go back to the streets.
