The Riverboat is a forthcoming live album by Neil Young. In February of 1969, Young performed a series of shows at The Riverboat, a coffee house in Toronto.[1] This album is a live recording from these performances.
According to Neil Young's official web site, this album will be Volume 1 in the Archives Performance Series.[2]. Since volumes 2 & 3 have already been released, this will be the third release from the series.
A CD sampler of the album will be released in selected retail outlets alongside Young's latest album, Chrome Dreams II. The different outlets will have different bonus CDs with a different preview track.
The album will also be included as part of the Archives, Vol. 1 box set which was most recently scheduled to be released on February 18, 2008. However, the box set was not released on that date and no new release date has yet been given. It is unknown whether or not the standalone CD will be released earlier.
