The Rebelution
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Rebelution is a Christian ministry organization directed at youth, defined as "a teenage rebellion against low expectations." It was founded in August 2005 by 19-year-old twin brothers Alex and Brett Harris, younger brothers of best-selling author and pastor, Joshua Harris. Originally just a blog, the Rebelution movement has since grown to include a website and international speaking tour.[1]
Since its launch in August 2005 the Rebelution website has received over 14 million hits, with members around the world.[2]
The Rebelution Tour, a series of one-day conferences for teens and parents, was held in the cities of Sacramento, Denver, Dallas, Indianapolis, and internationally, in Tokyo, in 2007, reaching over 5,100 teens and parents, with additional conferences scheduled for 2008.[3]
In April 2008, Alex and Brett's book Do Hard Things: A Teenage Rebellion Against Low Expectations was published by WaterBrook Multnomah, a division of Random House.[4]
