The Real Thing is a song by Bo Bice From his album of the same name. It was written by Marti Frederiksen who has also written songs for Aerosmith, Pink and Def Leppard and was co-written by Kara DioGuardi. The album itself sold 227,000 copies when it was released during it's first week on December 13th, 2005 . Debuting on the billboard 200 album chart at #4. And was considered gold after the first week.

The music video has 3 main scene's the first shows Bice on a balcony looking over what appears to be a small unknown city and him singing. In the second scene there is a camera man that takes numerous shots of him while he is walking around the city, singing. At the same time three girls notice him and start to run after him while at the same time other people take notice to and become interested. In the third seen he is seen performing with his band in front of a big crowd that had been following him. The video alters between the first, second and third scene's respectively.
