"The Real Thing" was the first single from the third album by 2 Unlimited: Real Things. It peaked at 6 in the UK. The track is based around Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor[1] and it was noted at the time that this marked a change of direction for the band as they had moved away from their previous heavier sound for a lighter house-based vibe.[2]
