The Razor Cartel are a band from Melbourne, Australia. Influenced by Punk Rock and Indie genres, the original lineup consisted of Ben Fraser on guitar and vocals, Tim Belfrage on bass and Mick Small on drums. The three members met at University and won a state battle of the bands competition. The Razor Cartel have shared stages with the likes of The Exploders, Dukes of Windsor, The Go Set, British India and Ground Components. In 2006 an EP was recorded at Hothouse and was produced by Craig Harnath. This self titled EP was released independently with a strong D.I.Y ethic. The single The Shakedown gained airplay on Australian alternative radio stations such as JJJ, 3RRR and FBi. This EP can be found online iTunes and also at www.myspace.com/therazorcartel.
