The Ravenswood

The Ravenswood was built by Paramount Pictures in 1930, a landmark Art Deco masterpiece located on 570 North Rossmore Avenue in Hollywood, California. The building has been declared a Historic-Cultural Monument (no. 768) by the City of Los Angeles.[citation needed]

Throughout the years, it housed several movie stars, including Mae West, Ava Gardner and Clark Gable.[citation needed] Mae West moved into The Ravenswood shortly after her arrival in Hollywood, eventually bought the building and lived there until her death in 1980.
