THE QUID was one of Winnipeg, Canada's most famous bands of the 1960s and 1970s. Quid members included Lenny Fidkalo, Ron Rene, Bill Pavlik, Colin Palmer and Morley Nickles.
A 1980s reunion concert in Winnipeg called "Shakin' All Over" brought the Quid together with other notable acts from the Winnepeg scene including Neil Young, Randy Bachman, CF Turner and Burton Cummings.
A reformed Quid with some new members added in the 1980s was asked to open for Burton Cummings, CANCON rock legend.
Unfortunately the tour was not to be.
They were the feature band on the Winnipeg 1965-66 album.
Unfortunately, Ron Rene (real name: Ron Mason) passed away in Vancouver in the Fall of 2007 of a sudden heart attack.
