The Promenade at Howard Hughes Center is a lifestyle center located in Los Angeles, California. It is a two level outdoor mix-used center that features a blend of lifestyle entertainment, dining and shopping. The center is located off Interstate 405, on one of the major freeways in Los Angeles with over 297,000 motorists passing daily. It is part of a 70 acre business campus that includes 2,700,000 square feet (251,000 m²) of mixed use office, retail and health facility complexes. Pepperdine University directly adjacent to the property has an active enrollment of 1,500 students. The customer is a college educated, white collar worker. The office buildings surrounding the center offer a captive audience of 5,000 workers that are employed by such corporations as Universal, Univision and Sony. The Bridge Cinema de lux, a 17-plex stadium theater has a draw of 45 miles (72 km) because of its unique contemporary design, restaurant and cocktail lounge, an IMAX theater and concierge services. Close to 50% of the market have have household incomes of over $75,000. The center offers a unique mix of restaurants and retail that includes Callender's Grill, On the Border Mexican Grill and Cantina, Islands, Johnny Rockets, Kabuki Japanese Restaurant, Starbucks, Borders Books and Music and Nordstrom Rack.
