The Privilege of Youth, published in 2004, is the fourth installment in Dave Pelzer's series of autobiography. The book goes more in-depth about adolscence and life out of foster care than The Lost Boy did. The book tells how he settled in a small community after being adopted, made some of his best friends, and eventually had to leave when he reached the age of 18.
