The Preytells are a four piece indie rock band from Perth, Western Australia.

The Preytells rose to prominence as a result of their win at the 2005 National Campus Band Competition.

Recent events of notable mention include:

  • WAM song of the Year Finalists (2004) [1]
  • Next Big Thing Semi Finalists (2005)
  • Airplay on RTRFM, Radio West Networks and on National Youth Station Triple J
  • Supporting The Stems on their exclusive Christmas Show, playing to a sold out capacity crowd (2005)
  • Playing at several festivals of note, including RTRFM’s 'In The Pines Festival' and the YAC It Up Festival (2006).
  • Recording of their debut EP at their own 'Martyn Noakes' Studio, engineered by Audrey and produced by The Preytells. (2006)

Since then the band have gone on to release their first EP Could I Change Your Mind, and will be launching two new singles "Shout"/"I'm So Sorry" in May, 2008. The Preytells have recently announced that they will be supporting The Warlocks in 3 major cities on their first Australian Tour. It has also been rumoured that the band have recently signed with Hulahoop Productions and will be releasing a feature album later this year.
