[edit] Synopsis
The Flighty Zeus are plagiarising all of Vince and Howard's ideas and stealing their fans. To get everything back, Vince and Howard challenge them for a face off at The Velvet Onion.
[edit] Plot
Vince arrives at work late, depressed and distraught that a copycat named Lance Dior is stealing his style. Howard attempts to cheer him up by showing him Gary Numan and by telling him its what's inside that counts. Howard quickly abandons this philosophy when he has his style stolen by Lance Dior's partner, Harold Boon, who together become The Flighty Zeus. As The Flighty Zeus become increasingly more popular, The Mighty Boosh become increasingly dejected, feeling the Zeus are always one step ahead of them. The Boosh almost give up, before having the idea of premiering their musical invention, [[crimping[[1]]]], at a gig at The Velvet Onion. They arrive to find The Flighty Zeus plagiarising an earlier crimp of theirs. The Boosh challenge the Zeus to a crimp-off, eventually winning by way of a four-way crimp, involving Howard, Vince, Naboo, and Bollo.

- Lance checks the label on Vince's coat and identifies that it's from Top Shop, a popular British shop that has been mentioned several times throughout the series, as it is known for its popularity among fans of indie.
[edit] Production
- Dee Plume, Noel's girlfriend, and member of electro band Robots in Disguise, appears in this episode as a member of the crowd at The Velvet Onion.
- When trying to cheer Vince up, Howard opens a cupboard and reveals that Vince's hero Gary Numan is inside. He later joins in when Howard breaks out in song, and can be heard singing the 'Peacock Dreams' theme tune. He has been mentioned various times in the series, but this marks his first actual appearance.
- Prior to this episode "Crimps" didn't have a name, they were commonly called "those silly songs in the episodes" by fans and were given no name at all by the characters, as they seemed to just happen randomly in a moment, usually from a remark about an old "Good time"; e.g. "Do you remember when that llama got out?" or "Do you know John Claude Jakettie the French designer?"
[edit] Music
- When Vince enters Bob Fossil's office, Bob is dancing to I Can't Go for That (No Can Do) by Hall & Oates.
- Gary Numan's appearance is accompanied by a bar from the song "Are 'Friends' Electric?".
- During the crimp-off at fictional music venue The Velvet Onion, The Mighty Boosh and rivals The Flighty Zeus perform crimps about lamb dansak (a popular British curry), chapati bread and basmati rice, "The Top 100 Most Dangerous Animals in Wales", "cleaning up", and also a wordless crimp in which Howard and Vince simply make bird noises.
