The Power of... Point Dread!

The Power of... Point Dread! is the title of a Masters of the Universe minicomic. It was packaged with the Talon Fighter and Point Dread playset. The story was written by Gary Cohn, drawn by Mark Texeira, inked by Tod Smith and colored by Anthony Tollin.

Skeletor, using the Mystic Crystal of the Caverns to focus his psychic energies, captures the Talon Fighter from Castle Grayskull after a brief struggle. In the process of boarding the ship, he drops the crystal, which shatters upon impact of the ground. Ignoring the fact, he almost immediately begins wreaking havoc on the palace at Eternos. Skeletor flies the Talon Fighter, Beast Man operates the blasters of Point Dread and Tri-Klops leads the ground army. He-Man sees they cannot win this fight, so he takes the Wind Raider to attack Skeletor directly. Zoar rushes to help but is shot down by Skeletor. The Talon Fighter is obviously superior to the Wind Raider, so He-Man can only win with a trick, he dives towards Point Dread and pulls up in the very last moment. The Talon Fighter is not as maneuverable as the Wind Raider and it crashes. With the attack over, Point Dread and the Talon Fighter magically reappear on top of Castle Grayskull and Skeletor has no chance reaching it again because his crystal has been destroyed.
