The Post is a national newspaper in Pakistan, owned by Khabrain Group of newspapers. Attempting to rival the existing newspapers, it has brought a new vision into the modern journalism. It was founded on August 14, 2005 by late Ednan Shahid. With a circulation of more than 1,600,000 in Pakistan the paper currently has its resident offices at Islamabad and Karachi. The Post headquarter is based in Lahore under the ownership of Zia Shahid who owns Khabrain Group of newspapers.

Under the leadership of late Ednan Shahid the newspaper got wide acceptance because of its content and anti-government policy.

Currently the newspaper ranks among the top five English newspapers of the country.[citation needed]

There are more than 250 journalists working with The Post newspaper in and out side Pakistan. The current Editor of The Post is Humaira Awais Shahid wife of late Editor Ednan Shahid. She is giving it a global perspective.
