The Poet of Politics will be a film based on the life of Bangladesh's founding leader, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The film will be produced by Abdul Gaffar Choudhury and has been announced on May 1, 2008. The film has a massive star cast which include Amitabh Bachchan as Sheikh Mujib, Abhishek Bachchan in the role of a young Mujib, Aishwarya Rai and Shabana Azmi. The movie will be made in English and then dubbed into Bengali and Hindi.
