[edit] History
It first began development in the summer of 1995 when the founders, Duncan and Greta Gray, built a 20-bay driving range and started selling buckets of balls in a static caravan. Over the next year the golf course was constructed by Duncan Gray, an experienced greenkeeper and golf course architect, and the golf course opened soon after. In around 1998 the clubhouse was built adjoining the driving range and the club started to offer memberships.
[edit] The club
The clubhouse is a log built building next to the driving range containing a reception area, bar/restaurant and changing facilities. There is also a pooltable and darts board for public use.
The Pines Golf Club has a membership including ladies, gents and juniors and runs many competitions throughout the year including regular medals and a club championship. You can also buy a "club membership" for about £15, this gives you the right to gain a handicap and enter competitions.
