The Peter G. Peterson Foundation was initially established in 2008 by Peter G. Peterson. As a cofounder of The Blackstone Group, Peter G. Peterson, used proceeds from the Blackstone IPO to finance the foundation. The foundation's primary focus will be looking into problems currently facing the country such as, healthcare, trade imbalances, and dealing with federal debt, among others.[3][4][5]
