The Perhapanauts is an American comic book series written by Todd DeZago and Craig Rousseau.
The first two mini-series, "First Blood" and "Second Chances,"[1] were published by Dark Horse Comics, although it was announced on October 31, 2007, that forthcoming Perhapanauts comics would be published by Image Comics.[2]
[edit] Plot
The story follows a team of supernatural investigators (they investigate the supernatural, and they are supernatural beings who investigate) working for a top-secret government agency. The main group of characters in the first two miniseries is staffed by a sasquatch named Big (also called Nakani), a chupacabra named Choopie, a ghost named Molly and two humans with powers, a man named named "MG" (his real name, as well as his exact origin and powers, has not yet been revealed, although it was joked by Dezago's friend and sometime collaborator Mike Wieringo in the introduction to the "First Blood" trade that "MG" might stand for "Mystery Guy") and team leader Arisa, who is a powerful telepath.
The Image Comics series began with an annual in February 2008, "Jersey Devil",[3] followed by what may either be numerous upcoming mini-series or an ongoing series. The first series is "Triangle" taking the team into the Bermuda Triangle, which starts publication in April 2008.[4]
