[edit] Very Brief History
The band originally started out as "Tammany Hall", a side project of Frank DiBiase and Mike Fisher's while they were both in the now defunct Indie Rock group, "The Ambient Takeover". Both of them had started to write songs and felt that the time was right to start a band of their own. After the break-up of The Ambient Takeover, they embarked on a very long recording session that saw Eddie Morton make his way into the group to play bass. The trio, now called "Petroline", started playing around the surrounding areas. After a few months had passed, a new name was chosen. "The Living Daylights", still a trio, continued on playing shows and writing songs.
It was around this time that "Clutch", one of the band's earliest hit songs, was written and the song formula that is what the band is known for today, was born. The summer of 2006 proved to be a big turning point for the group with Frank and Mike writing the bulk of their best material to date. In the middle of recording sessions the band had again changed it's name. The Beesknees were now looking for a new drummer after Mike made the switch to guitar. Fate eventually found it's way to an old friend of Mike. Enter Andrew Pancoast into the fold. Now armed with two guitarists and a new drummer, the band went on to play a couple of shows in Trenton and at Rutgers University. After some creative differences, Andrew was removed from the band. After a five-month-long hiatus and yet another name change, they enlisted the services of Steve Shomo, the former lead singer/guitarist of The Ambient Takeover to take over for Andrew.
In May of 2008 Steve Shomo and Ed Morton were removed from the band due to creative issues.
