The Paideia School of Tampa Bay is a Classical Christian School serving grades K - 12, located in Tampa, Florida, USA. “Paideia” is the Greek word for education. It involves the shaping of the ideal citizen, able to take his place in the culture. Most of all, paideia involves training in godliness and righteousness. It is desired that graduates of The Paideia School be equipped with the tools of learning – good and Godly men and women speaking well. Paideia, then, involves nothing less than the cultivation of wisdom and virtue by nourishing the soul on truth, goodness and beauty so that the student may glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

[edit] Mission
The Paideia School of Tampa Bay uses proven, classical educational techniques based on a Christ-centered worldview to teach the foundations of logical thinking, elegant speech, and persuasive writing. Grammar, logic, and rhetoric - the three disciplines of the ancient - provide the structure for the study of all subjects. Fundamental to The Paideia School’s education is the understanding that we labor in vain unless God directs our efforts – nisi Dominus frustra.
[edit] Educational Philosophy
The Paideia School of Tampa Bay is committed to:
· Challenge each student to develop a personal relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ.
· Promote a lifelong love for learning, realizing that all truth is from God.
· Develop a Christian worldview by teaching all subjects as parts of an integrated whole.
· Implement the Classical Model of education, which respects the natural stages of a child’s learning abilities and builds upon those stages, teaching the grammar, logic and rhetoric of each discipline.
· Provide a clear model of Christian life through our faculty, staff and our parent elected Board.
