[edit] History

Founded in 1851, The Pacific Club was originally called "The Mess", with William Lowthain Green as its President. After moving around the city of Honolulu, it finally acquired the Cleghorn estate in the heart of town. In 1965, Vladimir Ossipoff designed The Pacific Club as an open lanai building and also won the Hawaii AIA award for the design. In 1991, The Pacific Club surpassed the 1,000 member mark.
