The Pacemaker is a product of the Swedish company Tonium. The Pacemaker is a portable audio device, comparable to an Apple Inc. iPod or a Microsoft Zune.

The Pacemaker is a Pocket Size DJ System.[1] The device features include a 120 Gb hard drive, an SNR of 103, and many basic DJ audio tools. The DJ tools include a Line out Crossfader, a Headphones Crossfader, Bend, Pitch, DJ Pause, Cue, Loop, EQ, Filter, Sound FX, Headphone Jack, Line out jack and a USB 2.0 connector.[2][3] Any mix that is created can be saved and legally shared with the rest of the world.

As of 2007-05-06, The Pacemaker supports MP3, VBR, AAC, WMA, WMA Lossless, OGG Vorbis, FLAC and WAV.

The physical device was showcased at the Sónar Festival in Barcelona in June, on Ibiza in July and at IFA and PLASA trade shows. It was also at the Amsterdam Dance Event. Originally scheduled for release in February 2008, slight delays have pushed this back to March 2008. The first release of the device will be to the first 2000 people to have pre-ordered (all of which will receive the "Premier Edition" of the device) with general release coming later. [4] [5]

The Pacemaker weighs 200 g. It has a length of 164 mm, a width of 69.6 mm, and a depth of 22.8 mm. Its user input latency is <5 miliseconds. Its playback time for music is 18 hours and 5 hours for DJ playback.[6]
