The Opaque Brotherhood is the title of the third Dark Lotus album. The Dark Lotus members consist of Violent J, Shaggy 2 Dope, Jamie Madrox, Monoxide and Blaze Ya Dead Homie.

This album marks the return of Dark Lotus after Jamie Madrox stated in 2006 that their previous album "Black Rain" would be their last. It was confirmed by Violent J in an interview that there will be another Dark Lotus album released on April 15, 2008, as well as an advertisement in the liner-notes of the latest Psychopathic Records compilation album Psychopathics from Outer Space 3, that 2008 will be "the year of the Lotus." Five Hundred randomly chosen copies of the album come with two tickets to the 2008 Gathering of the Juggalos. Copies without tickets came with a coupon for hatchetgear.com[1]. The cover is an image of the Terracotta Army. The album debuted at #45 on the Billboard 200[2]. In 2008 Dark Lotus went on tour and released a limited edition version of The Opaque Brotherhood. It includes 4 bonus tracks.
