The Nia technique

Nia is a fitness and movement programme that combines elements from martial arts, yoga, and dance. It was developed in the early 1980s by Debbie and Carlos Rosas. [1]
Nia blends nine movement forms:

Nia is done barefoot to music. It is said to deliver cardiovascular and whole-body conditioning.
The name "Nia" is derived from "Neuromuscular Integrative Action". It also means "with purpose" in Swahili.
