The News Virginian is a newspaper owned by Media General. The paper serves residents in the cities of Waynesboro and Staunton, Virginia, as well as Augusta and Nelson Counties. Founded in 1929, The News Virginian has emerged as one of Virginia's best small dailies, consistently winning Virginia Press Association awards for its news and sports coverage, photography, design and editorials.
