The New Breed was a Crime/Drama television series that aired on ABC from October 3, 1961, to June 5, 1962, with thirty-six episodes. It starred a 35-year-old Leslie Nielsen[4] as the serious Lieutenant Price Adams who worked on "The Hot Shot Squad". The series were produced by Quinn Martin who also produced The Fugitive, whose costar Barry Morse was cast for that role because of a cameo that he did in The New Breed[4]. Nielsen was cast for this role because of his cameo in another Martin series: The Untouchables, also on ABC.
