The Needles are a four-piece band originating from Aberdeen in the late 1990s, now based in Glasgow. They play poppy punk with influences from early rock and roll music from the fifties and sixties. Their first single, Teenage Bomb, was released in 1998 when the then newly formed Lithium records asked the band to record a single. Since then The Needles have signed to Dangerous Records and have released a number of singles and EPs. Their debut long-player was released on 11th September 2006.

They have supported Bloc Party, Young Knives and Muse on tour.
