The Mumbles were a small band that were based in Dublin, Ireland in the early 1980s. Fronted by charismatic singer, Killian Devitt, The Mumbles achieved moderate success, and had a number of successful releases in the UK and Ireland.
Their most notable chart success was with their song Everyone Can Do Everything released in 1985. The song reached #4 in the UK Singles Chart, and that success, bumped album sales of their debut Operation You to the extent that they reached #22 in August of that year.
Their followup Next To Nothing was released in 1989 to critical indifference. Sales themselves were not much better, often marked by journalists as being ironically close to the album title itself. Efforts of the band to tour and promote the album did little to boost sales, and the band eventually split in 1992 after a period of downtime.
