The Motherload, Bristol

The Motherload, also known as the Northern Stormwater Interceptor (NSI), is a massive stormwater drain that acts as a flood prevention measure for Bristol. Building started in 1962 to relieve flooding over many parts of Bristol, and was completed in the mid 1990s [1].
