"The Missing Frame" is the eighth track from AFI's 2006 album Decemberunderground with a length of 4 minutes and 40 seconds. It is the third single from the album. The song was officially released to radio on February 27 and debuted on the Modern Rock chart at number 17.
It was confirmed by guitarist Jade Puget that a video would be filmed in mid-March, but in early June, singer Davey Havok claimed that there was no video in the 'Ask AFI' section of the Official AFI Message Board.
[edit] Trivia
- In an interview with Kerrang Magazine, Davey Havok noted that this was the only song on the album that has 'whoa's on it (seeming to forget the 'whoa's on Miss Murder), also noting the lack of whoas on their 2003 album, Sing the Sorrow.[1]
- Havok describes the song as Protopunk as well as saying that the song has "some definite U2 moments to it."[1]
- It is the longest song in the album, when counting track 7 as the two separate songs "Affliction" and the hidden song "Then I'll be Home"
