The Miner (?) is a novel published in 1908 by the Japanese author Natsume Sōseki.

It is the story of a university student from Tokyo who leaves school because of a failed relationship and ends up working in a mine. He experiences many troubles with the other miners, and his descent into the heart of the mine.
